"Scenes From The Second Story"

“When Luck Runs Out”
Oil on canvas
16 5/8 x 16 5/8”

June 28th is fast approaching, and I'm happy to say that after many hours of deliberating, Lindsay and I have decided on a name for our art show; "Scenes From The Second Story". Just to name a few that didn't make the cut: "Birds and the Bees, Frank and Beans," "Enter Stage Left," "Not Your Ordinary Peep Show." Those didn't quite seem to describe what we've been working on in the upstairs of our house these past two years. Lindsay's been updating her blog too so take a look at some of the beauties she's been creating! lindsaydavismakesart.blogspot.com

For those of you who haven't heard, we've been preparing for this show for two, yes, two years now. To date I have 15 never before seen paintings finished, 10 that only a few have seen, and 10 favorites ready for the show. I have 10 more canvases that are primed and am planning to have done for the show. Eight more weeks to get those done! For me 45 paintings under one roof at one time is going to be a huge achievement. I hope you can make the opening, it will be a big celebration.

Back from Japan and missing those delicious sushi rolls and Sochu coctails. We went to the mountain resort "Gala" for some mini-shred snowboarding and had a great time with friends, old and new. Thank you Advance Marketing and Lib Tech for a lot of great memories!

I painted 4 paintings for a traveling show called "Gimme Baby Robots 2008" The first show is in San Diego, CA, then there will be ones in Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, Memphis, Milwaukee and Madison, WI. "Baby Robots" is an annual auction show hung salon style. All pieces are under 10x10" and bids are recorded on the wall next to the piece. http://gbr.siamesebirds.com
